Meet The Girls
Michell (Kenya)
Nameera (Afghanistan)
Nameera is new to us. She is 13 years old and in grade 8. This is her first year at Zabuli Education Center. She has 7 sisters and 2 brothers. Nameera would like to be a police officer when she finishes school. She is very happy in her new school and feels it is the best environment whereby excellent teachers will enable her to excel.
We are pleased to support her.
Rose (Kenya)
Rose is in boarding school since starting high school. She had a difficult time her first year being away from her family and living with girls from other tribes. The academics were also very demanding so she found it necessary to study all the time. However, she is doing well now and her grades go up every semester. It’s wonderful to have her in our program.
Janhavi (India)
Janhavi is now in the 10th Standard class. Her academics are improving, and she participates in various workshops and extra-curricular activities offered through the foundation. Through this, she continues to gain more confidence which is very encouraging for a successful future. She continues, however, to face family difficulties since her parents are laborers with daily wages and very little income. We are so happy to support her in her effort to have a better future.
Annet (Kenya)
Annet is a Masai girl from the Mara. There are seven children in the family and her father is no longer there. This year she changed schools to one in the Rift Valey that has higher academic standards and a fine reputation. The curriculum is very intense. She's a good student and will no doubt excel there.
She dreams of being a doctor and helping her family and community.
While on Safari In 2016, a Masai Chief came to a friend and me to ask for help supporting this very bright young girl in school. Her father had passed away and the family did not have the funds for tuition. The only other choice at age 11 was to become a child bride. Amaya chose to support her education. Now at age 14 she is thriving and has excelled in her boarding school. Your Amaya purchases have made this possible. Thank you for your support.
